Memic Performs First Israel Case in Transvaginal Hysterectomy Study
Memic has successfully completed the first case in its Israeli study of transvaginal hysterectomy using the company’s innovative Hominis® robotic-assisted surgical platform.
The procedure was performed by Prof. Lior Lowenstein of Haifa’s Rambam Healthcare Campus. According to Prof. Lowenstein, “This innovative surgical procedure should replace most of the gynecological surgeries performed today.
According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, vaginal minimally invasive approaches to hysterectomy should be performed, whenever feasible, over abdominal and laparoscopic hysterectomy. Memic’s cutting-edge technology allows for minimally-invasive access with maximum maneuverability in transvaginal procedures and could have great value in the future of single and multiport procedures.
