Our Leadership
Dvir Cohen has served as Momentis Surgical’s Chief Executive Officer since October 2013. Mr. Cohen has been a leader in Momentis from its inception and brings more than 15 years of experience in innovative robotic systems. Prior to joining Momentis Surgical, Mr. Cohen served in various positions in the Israeli Ministry of Defense as an awarded officer specializing in robotic systems for various applications. From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Cohen held the positions of research and development manager and robotic project specialist in an elite technology unit of the Israel Intelligence Force. From 2007 to 201, Mr. Cohen led several opto-mechanical disruptive solutions in the Ministry of Defense, one of which won the Israel Defense Award. Mr. Cohen has experience at all stages of product development, from the early conceptual stage through prototyping to production line implementation and final marketing of government and defense units. Mr. Cohen’s recent recognitions include receiving the Deal of the Year Award from BioFlorida, a life sciences industry association, for Momentis Surgical’s $96 million Series D financing and being named an Endeavor Entrepreneur by Endeavor Miami, an affiliate of the global Endeavor organization leading the global high-impact entrepreneurship movement. Mr. Cohen earned an MBA from the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University, majoring in Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He also earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion as part of the “Brakim” excellence program.
Maya Leib has led Regulatory and Quality at Momentis since September 2023. Maya brings deep experience in quality and regulatory at medical devices companies. As senior consultant in MedicSense (former consultancy company), Maya implemented and maintained quality management system in various medical devices companies, prepared and represented the companies in audits. In addition, Maya planned the regulatory strategy and led companies towards regulatory approval. Maya is certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (ICMQ) by the Israeli Society for Quality (ISQ) and certified Lead Auditor by BSI. Maya earned M.Sc degree in Technology Management and B.Sc degree in Electronic Engineering from Holon Institute of Technology.
Jon brings over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, specializing in sales and business development. Before joining Momentis Surgical, he held several key sales leadership roles at well-known roboticmedical organizations such as Mako Surgical, Levita Robotics, Promaxo and Surgical Theatre, where he consistently exceeded sales targets and drove significant revenue growth. Jon is known for his ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders, ensuring that customer needs are met with innovative solutions. He has a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that align with company objectives and enhance market presence. Jon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University New Jersey.

Sandra Morgan has served as a Momentis Surgical director since August 2022. Ms. Morgan has 32 years of healthcare and executive leadership experience working for Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, she served as senior vice president, physician and provider relations at HCA Healthcare from March 2008 until June 2021. During her 13-year tenure at HCA, her responsibilities included business growth for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care clinics, transfer centers, and all service lines including surgical and robotics, women’s and children’s, neurology, oncology, emergency services, behavioral health, employer brokers, and rural markets. She also led the HCA Enterprise Transfer Center and founded the management development group that helped advance the careers of many of HCA’s vice presidents, hospital CEOs, COOs, and service line leaders. Prior to HCA, Ms. Morgan served as vice president for Pfizer’s U.S. managed care business, where she played a major role in the launch and formulary adoption of several products. Ms. Morgan received her BS degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University.
Dr. Moll has served as a Momentis Surgical director since July 2023. Dr. Fred Moll is an icon in the medtech industry and has been called “the father of robotic surgery”. In 1995 Dr. Moll co-founded Intuitive Surgical, Inc., and served as its first Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Moll was also a co-founder, and, from September 2012 to 2019, was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Auris Health, Inc., a robotics medical device company, that was acquired by Johnson and Johnson in 2019. From April 2019 to March 2023, Dr. Moll served as Chief Development Officer for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies. Dr. Moll is also the Founding Partner of Sonder Capital Management, LLC, a healthcare venture capital investment firm. Dr. Moll holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California at Berkeley, a M.S. degree in management from Stanford University, and a M.D. from the University of Washington. He currently serves on the boards of several healthcare companies, including Procept BioRobotics, Inc., ShockWave Medical, Avail Medsystems, and RefleXion Medical, Insightec, Moon Surgical and SS Innovations.
Mr. Stansky has served as a Momentis Surgical director since July 2023. Mr. Stansky was a Managing Director of Tudor Investment Corporation where he was responsible for long/short equity, crossover, and venture capital investments. He helped establish Tudor’s equity investment group in 1994 and retired from active investment management in 2008. From 1985 to 1994, Mr. Stansky was an analyst and portfolio manager at Wellington Management Company. Board directorships: Insightec Corp., OrthoSensor, MAKO Surgical Corp., and TransMedics, Inc. Mr. Stansky has Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations and holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Dr. Yaniv has more than 25 years of experience in the venture capital, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. As a senior manager, skilled physician, and experienced board member, she possesses a highly developed combination of leadership, decision making and business skills. Dr. Yaniv has served as partner at Accelmed since 2012. During this time she led Eximo from pre-clinical development through acquisition. Dr. Irit Yaniv previously served as Executive Director and Chairperson of Accelmed’s Innovation Hub portfolio companies. A global group of funds investing and acquiring control in HealthTech companies focused on Buyout and Non-Control transactions in commercial stage companies. Dr. Yaniv holds an MD degree from the Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University.
