Hominis Used in First Transvaginal Robotic Hysterectomy in Belgium

In a first-of-its-kind procedure in Belgium, Dr. Jan Baekelandt of Bonheiden’s Imelda Hospital has performed a transvaginal robotic-assisted hysterectomy using Memic’s Hominis® technology.

Dr. Baekelandt is a pioneering expert in gynecological oncology, and endoscopic and robotic surgery. His research focuses on transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES), of which he has performed over 800 cases.
